Research Projects

The Neurocognition, Early Experience and Development (NEED) lab, directed by Dr. Kimberly Noble, is seeking students to join the Baby’s First Years study team. Baby’s First Years is the first clinical trial of poverty reduction on child development in early childhood. Students will receive training in coding videos of parent-child interactions in both English and Spanish. Students may obtain independent study or practicum credit for this experience.

Qualified applicants will:

  • Be bilingual and bicultural native speakers of English and Spanish

  • Be able to commit to:

    • a yearlong research experience (starting as soon as possible through Spring of 2024)
    • 10 hours a week during the academic year & 10-20 hours per week during summer terms

Preference will be given to individuals with experience coding videos.
